Vickie was introduced to decorative painting and attended for first class in 2003.  In 2004 she was selected from 350 members from all 50 states, Canada, and 47 other countries to display her hand painted Christmas ornament for placement on the White House Christmas Tree in the Blue Room!  Also in 2009, she had an ornament displayed on the Grand Salon Tree in the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC.

Today she paints fine art and sells hand-painted note cards and many scenes on a myriad of different surfaces.  She has sold her paintings internationally as far as Dublin, Ireland.  She is continually learning new techniques and improving her style, however acrylics are her favorite medium.
