It’s An Art Party
May 1st — May Day. Traditionally a day of festivals, celebrating the beginning of summer in many cultures. So Why Not in Hanover? Why Not at the Arts Guild? After all, it is First Friday and time for another Art Walk. Why Not Celebrate?
Come join us for a special evening of art and music, fun and food, from 5 to 8 pm at the Gallery, 32 Carlisle Street, downtown Hanover, Pa. Exciting new artwork from the Annual Spring Show still adorns the walls and the music of the Hanover String Quartet will fill the air beginning at 6 pm. An assortment of edibles will be available for the taking, as will beer, wine and soft drinks. And it’s all Free.
The day is also part of the Give Local York annual giving campaign. Opportunities will be available to support the Guild’s Scholarship Fund. Each year the Guild awards a scholarship to a local high school art student interested in pursuing their education in the field of art.
All in all a great evening is planned. Stop in. Grab a Bite. Enjoy the Art. Listen to the Music. Meet some new friends. Invite some old friends. Help support the Arts in Hanover and join the party.
