She continued her creative pursuits, completing a BS in Advertising and Graphic Design in 1979.  Then in 1983, she took another direction for scientific and physical exploration, earning a BS in Physical Education and a MS in Exercise Physiology, and putting her artistic endeavors on hold for 25 years.

In the past several years, Kym has returned to her art, discovering watercolor as a medium that expresses her interpretations of visionary symbols.  These symbols come to life during the painting process, translating stories that move through inner soul landscapes, and surfacing to dance with the outer world.
