New Abstract Art Show in September

What is abstract art? It’s defined as a work of art that emphasizes design and a simplified investigation of forms. The subject matter may be recognizable, or may be non-objective, completely transformed into shape, color, and or line. It can be produced in any form or medium.

You can see abstract art produced by the Hanover Area Arts Guild’s artists in the exhibit on display September 2-27 during regular gallery hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 12-5 p.m. The gallery will also be open during the Downtown Hanover Art Walk, Friday September 5, 5-8 p.m. Visitors can vote for their favorite abstract art entry during this time. The artist who receives the most votes will win a cash award! As always, art on display will be for sale, and the gallery is open to the public for free.
