Gasper Paintings on Display Through August 30

Paintings by Tim Gasper will be on display in the Arts Guild gallery July 29 - August 30. Tim will be in the gallery to meet visitors during Downtown Hanover's First Friday Art Walk on August 1st, from 5 - 8 p.m.

Tim is a self-taught artist who has been painting for over 40 years. He first became interested in folk art when he moved to Washington D.C. and visited the Garbisch Folk Art Collection while on display at the National Gallery of Art. While there he purchased a book about contemporary naive artists and was inspired to start painting in that style. Since then, Tim has had one-man exhibits in Vermont, New Hampshire, and West Virginia. His work is in numerous private collections in several states. He is a long-time member of the Folk Art Society of America, and his work has appeared in Boston Spirit magazine and on television on a Destination America episode of “Ghosts of Shepherdstown.”
