Each class is a one-day workshop. Pick your favorites — or sign up for all four! Classes will be held in July and August, allowing you to squeeze in some creative fun before school starts.
Think of this class as clay meets creativity! We’ll design and decorate beautiful 2D pieces like decorative plates, picture frames, and even wreaths or heart-shaped hangings. Use colorful slips to paint patterns, create carvings, and make something totally YOU. These projects make awesome gifts or keepsakes to hang in your room!
These fun, hands-on classes are ideal for curious and creative children who enjoy hands-on crafting. We’ll playfully explore pottery using low-fire clay and colorful slips — and we’ll only fire once, so you’ll get your finished masterpiece quickly! Each class is a chance to sculpt, shape, and decorate your very own creation. No experience needed — bring your ideas and we’ll help you bring them to life!
Students will hand build with clay, adding texture and design. Students will select a glaze color from the available selection provided. The instructor will refine the work, bisque fire the student’s work, refine it again, apply the glaze, and then glaze fire the work. The instructor will refine it a third time before returning it to the Guild for pickup and distribution to the students for take-home. All glazes are food safe. May will fire the work at her home studio and return it to the Guild for pickup. Students will be notified when the pieces are ready to be picked up, which is expected to be within 2-3 weeks of the class.
